Naked Spots Dance - Falling LP (1983, NSD Records)

Third and final vinyl release from New Zealand's Naked Spots Dance. On this release, Fran Walsh is included in the band who later went on to marry famous director Peter Jackson and contributed screen writing to many of the movies he directed such as the Lord of The Rings trilogy... to even Dead Alive and Meet The Feebles! A few of the dreamier songs remind me a bit of bands like Shiny Two Shiny... though overall Naked Spots Dance certainly had a lot more artsy post-punk influence and generally faster-paced reminding me of some tracks by the Australian band Pel Mel too (off the top-of-my-head)...

  3. try copying the url of the link and placing it in a new tab/window in your browser. I'm getting odd results here. But seems to work if I don't click the link on this page... Odd... maybe its because I wrote "Lord of the Rings" :)

  4. Yes, very much blocked. I've already switched all my business from MF, they're blindly pulling files for no reason.

If anyone has a copy elsewhere, share w/b much appreciated!

  5. It works fine for me if I just copy the link into a new tab/window even when logged out of mediafire. I closed my browser and re-tried on two different computers and seems to work with both being logged out of my personal MF files.

  6. Your tip worked. Very odd. Thank you! Maybe *is* LotR reference?
FWIW, connection speed is wonky - will take 1 1/2 hours to get this puppy!

  7. ...sorrow-vomit, you're hurting my wallet... ;-)
Would you happen to have anything else from them? Any ideas regarding their earlier material - is it equally good, in the same vein?

  8. I don't have the other two records... this one is generally the easiest and cheapest to find. I have heard two other tracks not on this release that are both good though... one is on youtube.

  9. Thanks aplenty. It's like Pel Mel, Wild West, and Essendon Airport rolled into one or something.
